Happy weekend, folks. Hope the sunny-ish weather and is treating you well, I am tucked up in bed already with a mug of strong sugary tea, listening to 6 Music and wistfully staring out of the window, attempting to catch up on some blogging and resting my weary bones after a busy day with lovely Lyzi yesterday. Such a nana, eh?
I’ve just enough time in between my rest to let you know about this year’s Southbank Arts Trail (aka the SBA Arts Trail), which will be taking over the south of the city next weekend – 13th and 14th May 2017.
If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of the SBA Arts Trail, lemme break it down for you – artists all over the south of the city open up their homes to invite people in to have a peruse of their works and a chat over a cuppa. There’s also talks, workshops and other general merriment going on throughout the day. All in all, it’s a lovely way to spend the weekend with friends, family and small ones.
My good friends over at Peskimo will be exhibiting their beautiful prints, alongside up to 50 artists and makers from all over the city. It’s going to be an absolute corker this year, and you can see the full programme and map by heading over to the SBA website.
I really can’t imagine anything nicer than meandering through the charming streets of auld Bemmie and having a chat with some local friendly faces about their art. There are lots of local food traders getting involved too, so there’s a chance to stop for a slice of cake at Margot May, or pop in for a pint at The Tobacco Factory.
