About

lily doughball bristol blogger

Hiya! I’m Lily.

I’m a freelance writer and blogger based in Bristol, and since 2013 have been penning my adventures on this small slice of the internet.

Since growing from a humble online diary documenting my adventures in knitting, it has grown immeasurably over the last couple of years to include – amongst other things – some of my favourite places to eat, the best bits of Bristol, my slightly off-kilter fashion taste, beauty bits and pieces, the odd adventure or two, and occasionally a few snaps of my little coach house home and general lifestyle in the south of the city.

I love anything old, eccentric or ugly, preferably all three. I’m a vintage fashion hoarder with quite the collection of hideous knitwear. You could call my fashion sense eclectic; some days I’ll be dressed like a 1950s housewife, other days I’ll be dressed like an extra from Back to the Future II. I don’t have a defined style and I kind of like it that way.

I’m a lady of simple tastes. I’m most happy when eating something cheesy, watching Twin Peaks or a crappy action film, or scrolling aimlessly through doggo memes on Facebook.

Stick around if you like vintage clothes, art, photography, quirky stuff, alternative indie fashion, dogs, home and lifestyle.
