Hiya! I’m Lily.

I’m a freelance writer and blogger based in Bristol, and since 2013 have been penning my adventures on this small slice of the internet.

Since growing from a humble online diary documenting my adventures in knitting, it has grown immeasurably over the last couple of years to include – amongst other things – some of my favourite places to eat, the best bits of Bristol, my slightly off-kilter fashion taste, beauty bits and pieces, the odd adventure or two, and occasionally a few snaps of my little Victorian terraced home and general lifestyle in the south of the city.

I love anything old, eccentric or ugly, preferably all three. I’m a vintage fashion hoarder with quite the collection of hideous knitwear. You could call my fashion sense eclectic; some days I’ll be dressed like a 1950s housewife, other days I’ll be dressed like an extra from Back to the Future II. I don’t have a defined style and I kind of like it that way.

I have a background in photography, having studied it at university and worked as a photographer professionally for a couple of years. I’ve since turned my passions to writing, and as well as penning my personal adventures here, I’m a regular feature on the Time Out Bristol blog. Want to work with me? Take a look at this.

I’m a lady of simple tastes. I’m most happy with a strong cup of black coffee in hand, eating pizza and watching videos of pugs on the interwebs.

Stick around if you like vintage clothes, art, photography, quirky stuff, alternative indie fashion, dogs, home and lifestyle. Oh, and photos of my grimacing mush.
