It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

homesense bristol christmas shopping

The week before last I popped down to Homesense with a few of my fellow blogging lovelies, for an evening of festive Christmas bargain hunting!
We were invited along for the evening to try and find our #LoveFromFirstFind items – those festive finds that you fall head over heels for at first sight.

Myself, Lucy, Sophie and Emily (who made a brilliant video about the evening) all met up for a cheeky mulled wine or two at the Knowle pub before popping down to The Junction at Hartcliffe to pop in store and go bag some Christmassy goodies. This was my first trip to Homesense, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but I definitely wasn’t disappointed…

If you’ve never been to Home Sense before, it’s a bloody MAGICAL WONDERLAND – it’s the TK Maxx of the homewares world, a treasure trove filled to the brim with beautiful items for house and home at a fraction of the High St price. Whilst there we spotted some familiar looking furniture which wouldn’t look out of place at Oliver Bonas, plus some high-end beauty treats on shelves stacked to bursting point. It was heavenly.

I fell immediately in love with this Indian inspired painted tin birdhouse, and it may have slipped straight into my basket!

If you’re planning on gifting any foodie items this Christmas, then make a beeline for the food and drink section at Homesense. I really had to restrain myself when I got to the coffee section – there were so many beautiful tins and packets that I didn’t know where to start, and could have bought the whole lot.

There were loads of festive hampers too, and a whole tower of amazing looking pannetone, plus loads of gift baskets of American sweets and chocolates – there was something here for everyone. I’m planning on popping back to grab a few bargains to make up some festive hampers for all of the family – although I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that, now they all know what they’re getting for Christmas!

I ended up buying the beautiful birdhouse, a present for my sister (a nail varnish advent calendar!), plus a few other bits and bobs, all for a fraction of what they would have cost. That little birdhouse was only £12 of the Queens!

I was well impressed at my first trip to Homesense, and this is definitely not the last time I’ll be doing some cold hard bargain hunting there!

I was given a voucher towards the final cost of my items for purpose of this review, but all words and opinions are my own.
