What’s better than meeting up with your favourite bloggy pals, drinking prosecco, eating macarons and creating one-of-a-kind bespoke flower headpieces with the brilliant Crown & Glory? NOTHING.
That’s exactly what me and a few lucky others were up to at House of Fraser the other night – thanks to the excellent brains behind Bristol-based Blog Club, we each got to pick our own blooms from the super-kawaii flower candy cart which popped up in HoF for one weekend only.
The idea is that you pick ‘n’ mix your blooms to be affixed on either a headband or fascinator, creating a completely unique-to-you creation, perfect for a summer wedding or festival. Prices start at £20, which for something completely handmade is an absolute bargain if you ask me!
Being the awkward sort, I picked out almost 100% leaves for my headband, with a vision of fulfilling all of my hobbit dreams. Turns out these are quite difficult to attach to a hairband, but the lovely Sophie from Crown & Glory did an absolutely FANTASTIC job, and now I have the most beautiful flower crown to frolic in a meadow with.
Ta daaaa! Just look at my little face. I’m pleased as punch.
If you want to make your own one of a kind creation, Crown & Glory will be popping up again at House of Fraser Oxford Street in London this weekend, 26th-29th May. Pop over to their Facebook page for more info!
A massive thanks to Blog Club for organising this event and to Sophie from Crown & Glory for my beautiful flower headband.
